Information regarding the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2)

The Biocenter is closed for every person, who is not an employee! In light of current official measures to prevent spreading of the Corona-virus SARS-CoV.2, all courses and assemblies in the Faculty of Biology requiring physical attendance are postponed until further notice. Courses with single students, e.g. research courses, bachelor or master projects, may be continued. Practical courses with more than one person will be postponed until further notice. Exams requiring physical attendance are postponed until further notice. New dates for exams will be announced as soon as it is foreseeable when business will return to normal. For individual exams that cannot be postponed (e.g. Staatsexamen, oral defense exams), conditions must be such that examiners and examinees are ensured sufficient space to provide an interpersonal distance of at least 1-2 meters. Review of all exams will be postponed until further notice. We are currently developing a plan to make up for cancelled courses, and will provide this information as soon as possible. Due to the extremely dynamic developments, we are currently unable to give any reliable predictions for summer semester 2020 courses. We will inform you as soon as possible.
